An MK 2 hand grenade was discovered by a resident in their garden in Sitio Palatac, Barangay Pili, Ajuy, Iloilo. The discovery posed a significant danger to the resident and their family until the device was safely secured. According to Ajuy Municipal Police Station Chief PLt. John Michael Dalipe, the landowner noticed part of the cloth-wrapped grenade protruding from a container while gardening. The discovery was reported to authorities the following day, and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team confirmed it was an MK 2 hand grenade. The grenade is currently in the custody of the EOD-Regional Office pending further investigation.
